This mural was a collaboration between artist/co-ordinator Joey Mallett and 3 other artists, Val Kalk, Ann Webborn, and Nance Sweedler, the business owners of the Drive, and several volunteers. It was part of a larger project, celebrating Britannia's centennial, headed by artist Richard Tetrault, on the east side of Vancouver.
This mural captures the feeling of life on the Drive, as we all know and love it... the many businesses, retaurants, delis, coffee spots, love of sport, food and culture. It's all there on the Drive.
Location: corner of 2nd Ave and Commercial Drive.
